Earn credits.

There should be a way we can earn credits for katssandras interpretations instead of only purchasing them.

Leaving some comments in the bigger threads so folks know -- I'm moving this board to Frill. It allows anonymous upvotes and easier account creation, which should allow more folks to create these feedback tickets.
I haven't been happy with the clunky account creation here for a while, it feels like a big blocker to me. Frill is also way nicer to manage on the admin side.
All suggestions have been migrated, but comments have not.
Hope to see you all there:

yes i also agree we should be able to earn credits instead of purchasing because knowledge shouldn’t come with a fee:(
Tina G.
Taylor Hemmings Yes, I'm definitely thinking about it -- just gotta balance it with the harsh and depressing reality of ✨capitalism✨ and the costs of running this here thing. But luckily the stuff that is meant for learning, like the lessons are always free!

I came here to look for how to earn these credits and would like to say that I would love to see a feature to earn those credits

I agree. I would to see games or other activities that could help with earning credits instead of purchasing credits.

Hi absolutely love this app. I’ve always loved Tarot cards but never understood everything they can offer and being able to understand their full potential well rather than my own when using the cards. I have paid for the credits. I just would love there to be an option of explaining how to use the cards and connect with them because I’m using an app and I’m not holding the cards in my hands, so even though I’ve had this app since last year and I use it daily im still trying to figure out if I’m properly connected and what can I learn to make sense of this. I will admit that it does scare me how correct the cards are when I do a spread. I really do like the idea of learning the Lenormand but I’ve been on your website and I’m still not able to properly understand them and think some extra information would be great. I’ve never used any other app like this and I’m willing to pay some sort of subscription. I can’t quite understand the problem with the AI dilemma but maybe that’s because even though I’ve paid for credits I’ve not fully understood the concept of using it and what benefits it offers, maybe that’s something to look at and maybe give information of the benefits of using it and what sort of clarity and insight using it will provide.
But I’ve actually know negative feedback whatsoever and I can’t recommend the app enough because I’m honestly surprised by the amount of great options and available resources from a free app it’s amazing. I can’t thank you enough for making this app.

Okay, so I'm starting to piece together some thoughts based on Sarah Holevoet (Sarah Price)'s ideas, which brings up the possibility of daily credits, that you have to use that day or lose. I think that's slightly less risky for me to give away than perma-credits.
I recently updated the daily tab to include not just a card draw, but the moon phases, stats, and a daily task list. I can see rewarding users completing everything on the task list by giving daily credits for at least a 1 card AI reading. Of course, if we have a paid plan similar to what was suggested, any paid users can get additional credits as well.
I just once again, gotta do the math to make sure I don't get bankrupt, lol.

I wonder, maybe there can be a "view ad" option so there can still be revenue?

Ai: Yes something like voluntery ads. But still Tina needs to pay the cloud bills, so I suppose it depends on the income from ads.
Tina G.
Ai, Dawid Spałek -- In order to setup ads, I think there's also a lot of frustrating things to add, like data tracking. It's both work-intensive and stuff I really wanted to avoid.
FYI, I do want to reward users at some point for reaching some milestone levels with credits. Think like level 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. Just trying to figure out a good balance that makes sense on a bunch of levels.

Tina G.:
New here and this app is incredible. Thank you for putting this resource together. I've tried to learn tarot off and on over the past 20 years and this time I think I'm actually going to get it! I'm willing to pay for that.
I'm very hesitant to pay for consumables in apps, but I would absolutely consider a flat $9.99 or a monthly $2.99 subscription for a "pro" version with unlimited (or a healthy quota of) AI interpretations, mostly just to support this work.
After all, $9.99 is less than most tarot books and I've shelled out for a few of those over the years. :)
Tina G.
Sarah Holevoet (Sarah Price): Hi Sarah! Thanks for the kind words! You've definitely given me a lot to think about.
$2.99 wouldn't cover the cost of using the AI for an unlimited number of times, but a quota is doable for sure.
Just so you know, the reason it's a consumable is because we pay a fee everytime an AI reading is generated. Using a customized model costs about 8x more than the base.
This is just the cost of AI itself, not including data storage, apple and google's 15% fee off the top, and all that fun stuff to keep the rest of it working.
Some users create
hundreds
of readings a day. It's kind of mind-boggling. This is based on number of logs saved, so they're for sure not generating AI readings for these, but if I had an unlimited plan, a power-user like this is probably the worst case scenario and I may go bankrupt quite fast. 😭What would you consider a fair credit quota for something like the $3 plan? I have to do the math, but that data point would for sure help.
It could even be a quota that is daily instead of monthly. Would also encourage folks to keep up their daily practice.
Same goes to everyone who voted here. Feel free to leave thoughts on this question if you have them.
Thanks!
Sarah Holevoet (Sarah Price)
Tina G.: That totally makes sense and yikes re those power users!
I love the idea of a daily quota. For me personally - one spread per day is enough - so one spread up to x cards (depending on what's realistic in terms of the cost)
Here's why... I'm trying to learn tarot, so for me, I'd love to draw the three card daily spread, noodle on my own interpretation, and then check with the AI for further insight/ideas to hone my own skills. While I'd be tempted to binge/cram a bunch of readings in a "study session," that's probably not the best way to learn long-term, and I like your point about a daily habit.
I could also imagine someone who is using the app just for readings, appreciate getting one reading per day as part of their subscription.
Also, this still gives room for power users to purchase + spend consumables if they want more readings.
As I type I'm realizing I have another feature request which is sample spreads and their interpretation. I don't necessarily need my own spread to be analyzed by the AI - I just want to use the AI to hone my ability to read spreads. So if you are able to cache the readings that users are already generating (so you don't need to regenerate them every time), or just randomly generate a bunch, and then put them into a learning module... 🤔 again that is worth "pro" to me... "hire Katssandra as a tutor" to get your one daily spread interpreted + coaching from Katssandra in the form of pre-generated sample spreads.

Tina G.: Hi Tina I've already left a comment on this topic. I would ask if it's possible to give us more information about the different types of levels and what we benefit from the levels, please. But I love this app and I'm more than willing to do any to gain daily rewards(if there were some added), that being said I don't understand the point of levels and I have also found understanding how I can still get the same results from the app compared to physically holding a set of tarot cards. That's my only question about using an app/ website over actually holding them in my hands because yes I do feel that the cards are right more than not but I still question if I'm doing it properly and if I really connect with cards that aren't with me so how can I be getting the same results when using the app. This is my biggest challenge.
