Automatic saves for tarot readings
in progress
Lukas Hillbricht
I would love for there to be an option to automatically save each daily reading I do. I keep engaging into the reading and continue thinking putting away the phone and forget to save it.
Option could be in the settings page. A trigger can be added after all three cards have been looked at. A note can be added later on by editing the save.

Leaving some comments in the bigger threads so folks know -- I'm moving this board to Frill. It allows anonymous upvotes and easier account creation, which should allow more folks to create these feedback tickets.
I haven't been happy with the clunky account creation here for a while, it feels like a big blocker to me. Frill is also way nicer to manage on the admin side.
All suggestions have been migrated, but comments have not.
Hope to see you all there:

After implementing limits for journal entries in 1.7, this is now possible. Will likely show up as a toggle in your reading settings.

Keep special readings open instead of defaulting to home page
Liz Lizzy
I've often lost complex readings before finishing with them. I put my phone down and return to the app later to discover that the reading is gone and it has defaulted back to the daily spread screen. If I haven't saved the reading, there's no way to get it back. This is incredibly disappointing. I would like the app to stay in the place where I left off. I don't necessarily want to save every reading, but I would like it to stay open until I'm finished with it.

A Recents Or History Tab for Freeform Readings
Giibii Chibi
I get really good pills that are very intertwined with what I'm dealing with. But if I want to save more than one card I pull in the freeform reading? I lose the one before it. Heaven forbid I hit the back button or I'll loose the pull entirely. Please, a Recents or Tarot History tab would be very beneficial for making connections to past events or simply trying to recover a spread accidentally deleted !!

Putting some more thoughts here from another thread to get feedback on, as it's related to the costs of data storage, which is a big blocker on this feature. Again, nothing may come of this, just throwing it out there for public opinion.
Proposed plan:
Free users can't save new journal entries after going above 100 or something. Anyone over 100 entries will have to bulk delete until they are under that limit. Will have button to delete oldest logs over 100. This number has some wiggle room, and I can increase the limit as time goes on to see how things change.
For folks that delete their readings every month or so anyway, they won't be affected.
If I wanted to implement this, I would also setup an export readings system. That would give users an option to keep their readings without feeling forced to purchase.
A few ways to format that data:
- To reupload to Labyrinthos if they want to come back or signup later.
- As plaintext documents.
- As PDFs maybe (though this is a lot harder).
But if you'd just like to see it in nice and easy ways and build up data for the mirror, you can remain on a subscription. Maybe even a lower plan for folks that only want the storage option.
With a storage option it would also just allow me to do things like auto-save readings without being terrified of consequences. Even for free folks if it's limited to X amount of logs, that's fine, because I know it will never go beyond that.
Since Catssandra was released, and auto-save was introduced for AI readings, which was not long ago, my storage costs have shot up significantly faster.
Just for perspective, some accounts are doing like 300 saved readings per day. We're guessing it's folks using this for business??? So strange. Just being able to prevent accounts doing stuff like this would help significantly, and I see being able to up the limit for everyone once this kind of behavior ends. Also are any of
you
guys doing the 300-ish readings a day thing? Can we talk on what you're using this for? I'm very confused. Also not all of these even had Catssandra reports. I believe one person was doing this with Lenormand spreads.Give it to me straight, how do you feel about this?

Are you saving these readings? I'm trying to understand how that's different from a journal entry. To save a reading, you need to tap the heart icon.
You can also save free form readings with multiple cards. The + icon on the bottom adds another card to the reading -- once it's added, you can tap and hold to drag the new card around and place it where you want it.
Actually is that what you didn't know about? The tap and hold to move the card? So when you add a new card, it's "deleted", when it's just underneath the last card?
Honestly I would appreciate a video or something to show me what you mean. It's hard to tell with just words alone.

Auto save all readings

I would love it if absolutely every reading I did was saved. Even just a text list of the cards in order they were drawn. The option to add notes afterwards could be cool, but I don't ever want to lose a reading I do whether I forget to save or cause the app resets to the home screen, especially to track the cards that repeat across reading over several days.

Btw, I am a frontend and would be down to help.

If that glitch isn't simple to fix, an auto-saving draft feature would be nice
